Joriana and I visit and photograph in a lot of venues in our travels throughout the Northern Virginia and Washington DC area. So we thought we would take the time to thank those venues that we enjoy working at and give you a review of what’s fabulous about them.

The Hilton Arlington, in Arlington, Virginia is a great wedding location – one of those hidden little jewels in the Northern Virginia area for a wedding photographer.

The people at the Hilton Arlington are some of the best ever to work with because they do a wonderful job.  the ballroom is large enough to hold 250 people and it was newly renovated in the last few years.  Acoommadations in the heart of Arlington allow your guests to be well taken care of before and after the wedding, with plenty of places locally to stroll to.

We really love this location because they have added uplighting to the ballroom– not sure what that is?

See the difference it makes! We think that ballrooms with uplighting have that extra special appeal so we encourage all of our couples to consider including it.  It makes for striking photos.

There were some great elements in the lobby that with the right artistic eye can be the perfect backdrop to showcase the happiness of a new bride and groom. Here’s some great images we took inside in the lobby –

We really love that there are elements outside too.  Within moments, a bridal party can quickly and easily walk to lots of great locations for images around the Hilton Arlington, such as this fountain.

Because it started to sprinkle on Megan and Larry’s wedding day, we were able to use the mall and some art inside the atrium as backdrops for images of some of our kewl clients.  These locations were all within moments of the Hilton, but still inside. We love the creative images we were able to get.  What do you think?

The Hilton has fabulous food — they were  even able to provide an awesome candy bar which was one of the best we have ever seen!

The staff at the Hilton Arlington has always been so pleasant to work, attentive to guests every need.  To check out this venue, be sure to ask for Ursula.  Ursula and Lindsay provided help with the weddings we had the pleasure of photographing there and made sure everything was complete down to the last detail.
