Katrina and Mike are just one of those couples. The kind that you love being around. The kind that no matter where they go, people will always be drawn to them. The kind that are just easy to love. And we absolutely fell in love with them and their wedding.
To start, Katrina’s dress was so perfect. It was a strapless silk gown with a flower embellishment to the side. Simply gorgeous. Her bridesmaids wore light pink dresses, to the floor. The back of their dresses had a cascade effect. They were definitely the coolest bridesmaids dresses we’ve seen this year. All the groomsmen wore grey suits. It looked absolutely fantastic together.
The ceremony was held inside an immaculately decorated tent, as well as the reception. Oatlands grounds are truly amazing as flowers are always in bloom, and there are so many great places to shoot around the property — it is really the perfect venue for a garden wedding.
But besides how beautiful everything looked, we could feel how much Mike and Katrina’s friends and family truly loved and cared for them. From the Maid of Honor’s speech, which brought tears to everyone’s eyes, to Mike’s best man, who had us all laughing and having fun when he decided to serenade everyone.
Katrina and Mike’s vision was brought to life by one of our favorite wedding planners, Aimee Hardenbergh of True Wedding Events — details abounded, the day ran as smooth as a top and the tons of hard work that made all of this happen went largely unnoticed by everyone except Mike and Katrina who told us that Aimee was worth her weight in gold — we think so, too.
We also relished the opportunity to work with one of our absolute favorite florists, Christi of Bergerons Flowers and Events — take a few moments to see how amazing the flowers were! We feel that they really added to the ambiance of the gorgeous tent.
What’s am amazing wedding without amazing entertainment? That’s what you always get when you hire one of the Miles Steibel’s team at DJ: MSE Productions. And this band was great, too, playing all through the night with vocals that were right on the money — they has such a great sound. If you need a band for your wedding, be sure to call Miles.
Katrina and Mike, we send you best wishes for lots of laughter and good times as you settle down in your new home in San Diego. We hope you enjoy the images we were able to capture of your big day!

It was a beautiful, warm, spring day when we first met Glenn and Lindsay. Our first thought was, wow, this girl is just soooo gorgeous! She looked like a Barbie. At the end of the session we found out she was not only beautiful on the outside, but the inside as well. Glenn is very laid back and by the end of their engagement session we had plenty of images of him smiling and laughing … especially at his bride to be.
The wedding was no different. Lindsay looked stunning in her strapless, fitted ball gown. Glenn looked very dapper in his black tux. The venue was absolutely gorgeous! Lindsay’s main color was yellow, and all the walls of Rose Hill Manor are a perfect yellow cream color. But besides the wedding being beautiful, the moments were also gorgeous. Everyone present at the wedding truly came to show their love and support for Glenn and Lindsay. We couldn’t be happier for you both! We hope you enjoy the images!

Eric and Jennifer were your stereotypical high school sweehearts. Eric was on the football team and Jen cheered on the sidelines. They had many mutual friends but became official on Valentine’s Day! Over a year passed and graduation day came. At that point, Jen and Eric each went their separate ways — Jen to New Jersey and Eric stayed in Warrenton.
In 2002, a year later from the time they became official, both Eric and Jen were away at college but were far from separate, even though they lived states away. The two continued to build a life together via instant messages, phone calls, visits back to Warrenton, and even visits to New Jersey and NYC! All throughout three years of college. After college, Jen moved back to Warrenton and they picked up right where they left off!
Since then, they’ve built a beautiful house in Warrenton, traveled to the Carribean several times and even spent ten days in Rome, Italy. Throughout all the ups and downs, Jen and Eric have always managed to find a way back to each other. So one beautiful day, both Jen and Eric decided to take a day off of work and visit DC. Eric thought it would be fun to have a picnic by the Tidal Basin and then go paddleboating. Eric then surprised Jen when he stopped and got an artist to draw their picture.
What Jen didn’t know is that Eric had hired this artist to be at that location to draw their picture. As the artist finished the portrait and revealed it to Jen and Eric, Jen was even more surprised to see it was a picture of Eric on one knee holding a ring saying, “Will you marry me?”. Jen was in complete shock and had no idea that he had been planning to ask her to marry him. She said “he’s sneaky like that”. With a surprised expression on her face, she turned to face him. Eric was there, already on one knee, with the ring out.
Jen said yes! And in April, Jen and Eric tied the knot for all their friends and family to see! It will be amazing to see all the things they will accomplish for many years to come!
