Joriana’s Wedding, Transportation, Cake, and Ice Luges … Oh My!

I’ve mentioned my timeline quite a few times throughout these posts, but one of the key factors that helped us keep everything on time, for the most part, was our limousine service — Limousines, Inc.
 
Usually this is something that we’ve seen many of our couples not allow enough for in their budget.  We didn’t pay a crazy amount for them, but we do feel the amount we paid was worth the value of knowing that a reliable limo service would be transporting us and our bridal party without getting lost or running behind schedule.  They were on time and professional.  That relieved a huge amount of stress for myself and my wedding party.
 
My sweet driver even went above and beyond and helped straighten out my dress right before the ceremony!
 

 

 

 
And the best part? Jay and I got to break out the champagne and enjoying time with our besties on the way to the reception!
 

 

 

 

 
How do you end the perfect modern wedding with a bit of timeless flair?
 
An awesome red Chevelle gifted by one of our awesome friends (thanks, Patrick)! Top down, warm breeze blowing through the D.C. night, off we went to our honeymoon suite at The Mayflower.
 
Matt from Camelot Classic Cars showed up to transport us to the hotel where we would spend our first night as a married couple. Not only was Matt on time, but he was very professional. He was easy to work with and dependable. This, to me, is invaluable.
 

 

 
Stephanie who owns a bakery in Herndon, VA (aptly named Stephanie the Baker) was our first choice to do our wedding cake.  We had tried her wedding cake at another wedding we photographed, and it was so incredibly delicious.  So many wedding cakes are beautiful, but they taste awful.  Stephanie’s cakes not only taste amazing, but look so pretty as well.  I loved my wedding cake!  Oh, and did I mention that she bakes for those that are gluten-intolerant as well?  This was important to me as my maid of honor is unable to consume anything that has gluten.  The two cupcakes that Stephanie designed for her were amazing.
 
The cake table was a special design of tall cylinders with a glass top — so what better to top it off than a modern white cake with cascading roses? The cake looked SO beautiful and it was soooooo good!
 

 

 

 
Last but not least, USA Ice was fantastic to work with and set the bar buzzing with their custom designed ice luge.  It was so pretty and really was a statement piece throughout our entire reception.  We highly recommend them!
