Patrick and Liz are such a sweet couple. We just absolutely fell in love with them as soon as we met them! One of our favorite things about each couple is how they met and how they got engaged. For Liz and Pat, their story was unique.
It all started with a Washington National’s baseball game. Liz and Pat were decked out in their baseball jerseys, all ready to go to the game, when Pat suggests that they go out behind the house so that his Dad could take some pictures of them together on their back deck. Pat’s Dad (who was in on the whole thing) asked Liz and Pat to pose. Quietly, Pat slipped the ring on Liz’s finger. Pat’s Dad was able to capture the whole thing!
Pat and Liz’s wedding echoed the same thoughtfulness throughout. Take a look at the images we were able to capture and see for yourself!

When we first met Rachael and Brian, they spoke about the things that were most important to them. Those things were their friends and their family. So as their wedding day unfolded, we saw how true that was. I first went to Brian’s home where his closest friends were all gathered around a table eating breakfast. Everyone was smiling and laughing and you could really feel the warmth in the air.
The ceremony was held at Harmony Church — a church that Brian and Rachael attend. All of their loved ones continued to show their love and support as they watched the happy couple tie the knot.
We loved many things about Rachael and Brian’s wedding including the fact that there was no cake — only pie. It was quite lovely. Rachael and Brian knew that many of their friends didn’t love to dance so they provided a few games for them to play instead.
Take a look at the images and you can see what we mean!

Audrey and Andrew’s Wedding we would describe as Winter vintage/ Art Deco. There were many special things about this wedding, but here are a few things Audrey mentioned herself: she created the toothpick inserts for the cupcakes, Heidi Dykstra, now her Mom in law, made their 2 tier cake on a cupcake stand made by her Aunt Elaine and Stuart.
The cupcakes had unique names and I’m sure tasted delicious! Audrey and Andrew got married at Pohick Episcopal Church. This is the same church that the Washingtons, Masons and Fairfaxes went to. Audrey’s family also had gone to this church for many, many years so it was important to the happy couple that they be married there.
Audrey and Andrew met ten years ago. They’ve been there for each other through thick and thin. Andrew is now a successful soccer player for DC United, and Audrey is right by his side as his wife!
The reception was held at Hotel Monaco in Old Town Alexandria. It’s a gorgeous hotel! Details include the winter vintage theme that Audrey and Andrew had in the different shapes of plates and menus as well as the centerpieces. It’s so hard to describe.
Helenka and Rahamim’s wedding at Hyatt Dulles was one of our favorites! We are so excited to announce that today, it’s being published in The Modern Jewish Wedding!

Geoff and Julie first met on a beautiful September afternoon … September 12, to be exact. Julie was, begrudgingly, participating in a work-related golf tournament that was being held at the Country Club where Geoff was working. Entering the pro shop to purchase some necessities, Julie first laid eyes on the very personable and handsome Golf Pro behind the counter. When he suggested that she should play with PINK golf balls … that may just have been the moment she fell in love! For Geoff, that moment might have been when she played her favorite song for him, during their first “date” (one week after they met) that happened to be one of his favorites too.
Geoff is, of course, a PGA golf professional and Julie is a Public Relations executive. Together, they enjoy many of the same past times – music, theatre, trips to NYC, going out on weekends for breakfast, movies, concerts, skiing and, most of all, time with family and friends. Most of their time, however, is spent laughing – making each other laugh! And they laugh a LOT!
It was so great to be able to photograph the wedding of two people that are both friends and in love. We hope you enjoy the images we were able to capture!
