Ever After Visuals is a mother-daughter wedding photography team, who specialize in wedding photojournalism in Virginia, DC and Maryland. We also do engagement photography, destination weddings, destination wedding, day after wedding photography, trash the dress, family portraits, lifestyle portrait.

We first met Megan and James on a cool spring day. They came to our studio for an engagement session. They had recently gotten engaged and hadn’t yet had time to look for a wedding photographer. So as we got to know a little bit more about these two, we came to find out how they got engaged.

James surprised Megan with a surprise trip to Cornwall England. Megan had no idea that they were even taking a trip. He planned the trip to Tintagel, which is a legendary birth place of King Arthur (both enjoy reading Arthurian stories). All week they went site seeing, and on the only Sunny day, at sunset, James took Megan down to the beach outside of Tintagel and proposed in front of a water fall outside of Merlin’ s Cave (The name of their dog and the book Megan was reading). Of course she said yes!

Blue stones were so important to both of them, so James had made sure and included the stones in Megan’s engagement ring.
On a personal note … you can’t help but love these two! James definitely wins the ‘Groom most in love’ award. From one chance meeting to a wedding day, Megan and James’ special day was one to remember!
