Ever After Visuals is a mother-daughter team who specialize in wedding photography — we are wedding photojournalist, who capture moments that tell the love story of our brides and grooms. We also do engagement photography, destination wedding photography, day after, trash the dress, family portraits, and lifestyle portrait sessions.

Appomattox, Virginia proved to be the perfect place for a very historic tying of the knot! Laura and Jim had a rocky road to the altar — Laura was in a serious accident on the way to their first date, but anyone can see that adversity has made this couple’s love grow stronger. In spite of surgeries and setbacks, they met and they wooed and Saturday they were thoroughly married.

And what a grand celebration it was! Custom all the way — from the custom made bridesmaids and wedding dress that Laura sewed herself to the details throughout the day — everything spoke quietly of the strong bond these two have – the Tussy Mussy’s were a kewl reminder of a lovely tradition; the hand-decorated sugar cubes, the china, the Weddingtini, embroidered tablecloths – even the gift bags surely made Laura and Jim’s family and friends feel as special as they were.

And they really were special — I really think that Laura and Jim are two of the nicest people we’ve ever met — and their friends and family were just more of the same, sweet, helpful, just genuine people, just the kind we love to photograph. Joriana and I just loved the old southern genteel feel to this wedding and it will long be remembered as one of our favorites.

Spring Grove Farm was truly beautiful — from the rolling hills, to the blue skies, to some of the most awesome food (steak and lobster, our favorite) we’ve had the pleasure of tasting — everything was perfect.

The Andrew Thielan Band was AWESOME! I have never seen a big band that played everything from Norah Jones to disco to motown, — and played it wonderfully! If you every want to hire a big band, this is the one to hire!
