Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous — this was the catchword for April and Chris’s wedding. the Bride, bridesmaids, the decorations — alllll were just gorgeous. Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church proved to be a gorgeous location for the I do’s — with tall windows and circular seating, it was a perfect backdrop. It was made all the more beautiful by Julie from Black-Eyed Susans , who provided the floral design of the day — some of the most gorgeous work we’ve seen.
The weather certainly cooperated — it sprinkled only while we were traveling to the reception and then blue skies peeked out again just in time for formals on the golf course. And then we whizzed back in our golf cart to the country club to see the most beautiful decor.
This reception site can’t be beat — with a beautiful patio lit by candlelight, to the chef slicing juicy pieces of roast beef for the guests, sparkling chandeliers and gorgeous centerpieces — this place had it all. At this reception, all were especially touched by the salute to fallen comrades — Chris served in Iraq and took time out to honor them. We were also excited to see our Engagement Slideshow featured during dinner — we were overwhelmed when the guests clapped and cheered at the conclusion!!! But for us, we really had to fight back the tears during the groom’s dance with his mother — not only was she crying, but we caught his dad shedding a tear.
April and Chris, we had SOOOO much fun at your wedding – best of all, your family, your friends — and the two of you especially — made us feel like family and took care of us so well. We especially appreciate that you instructed that we be served a plated meal at the same time that you ate. That made our job so much easier and allowed us to get back to work quickly. Butch Raupuk - The love shared by April and Chris including their family and friends was well illustrated during the Sneak Peek. The emotions I felt during the actual event re-surfaced while I viewed the show. The wonderful photos, background music and overall arrangement were excellent
