We just have to say that we had the best time ever photographing Kiera and her family! Paul and Connie are one of our wedding couples that we photographed and we especially love the continuity of photographing those who value photography throughout the milestones of their life. Kiera is now graduating, so what a great time for senior and family images.

We just have to say that we had the best time ever photographing Nikki and her long-time pals — Jen, Dawn and Sandy. The girls arrived at our house ready to hit the town! I have never seen so many cute shoes in my entire life!

In life, it can be hard to find good friends, and even harder to keep them since hardly anyone stays in the same town anymore. But that didn’t even seem to phase these girls! Jen, Dawn and Sandy came from ALL over the US! Nikki, our bride-to-be, has been friends with them for many, many years. And even though she’s getting married, she wanted to show how much she valued their friendships by setting aside time to have a unique session just for her bridesmaids. I have no doubt that Jen, Dawn, Sandy and Nikki will ALWAYS be friends, come rain, or come shine.

Thank you so much for allowing us to capture what true friendship looks like. We hope you enjoy the little slideshow we designed!

When two people are in love, truly in love, well, it’s an amazing thing — you see it in the way that I and me becomes us. Working with Matt and Lucy, we saw this right away — the decisions they made about their wedding, they made together every step of the way with calmness, respect and love. It’s just the way they treat each other. Devout, loyal, and oh so very much in love, these two start their marriage with all the pressures that being a doctor and a nurse are sure to bring. We feel honored that these two would share their day with us and that we have the awesome privilege of documenting their relationships with those they love on their wedding day.

Matt and Lucy, thanks for being sooooo easy to work with! We have to say, this is the first time we’ve been served courses at a wedding — it was so grand to see the care you showed your guests and we thank you for making us feel special by including us. We really appreciate clients who make us feel like family!

Things we loved:

That Lucy wanted their images to reflect that it was their day, not just hers
We love that Lucy freely expressed the emotion she was feeling
Matt’s face when he saw Lucy for the first time
Lucy’s parents — Theresa was just the sweetest. And Louie, well, we are total sucker for a guy that cries. We pretty much all melted down when this father hugged his daughter as his little girl for the last time
Matt’s Family — Lots of love all around here!
Mark and Nate — The best brothers a girl could have! A special thanks for all the help you gave us — a shout out to Mark for his uber swing dancing with the bride.
Jennifer and Tara — Wow, two of the prettiest bridesmaids that were just as sweet on the inside. We could have continued to photograph them ALL day!

Marcus is one of those grooms –
He doesn’t think he’s cute, but he is.
He doesn’t think he’s romantic, but he is.
And he thinks he’s kinda shy, but he is so not!

What we think is that he is totally in love with Maria — we knew that when he gave up the game on a Sunday afternoon to do an engagement shoot — isn’t that a test of true love for any sports fan? ;>}
We think that he takes one look into Maria’s gorgeous brown eyes and can’t help but say “Yes”!
But we bet she has the same feeling when she looks into his big baby blue eyes!

These two were easy, easy together, easy to work with — and watching Marcus warm up to the idea of having his engagement documented was the best part of the day for us –

So we had an awesome time this week with Shawn and Angela — what a kewl couple.   We were trying to put our finger on exactly what we liked about them so much — we decided what it is.   They fit.   They fit together — comfortable with each other, at ease and they are sooooo very obviously in love.     And SO MUCH fun — we love how they just had fun together.    We are having a great year with all these gorgeous couples.   I was telling my husband, David, about how much fun their engagement session was and what a cute couple they are.   He said you think ALL of your couples are beautiful!   And he’s right — we do.   We just love to be with people in love — does it show?
