  • Ever After Visuals is Mindy & Joriana Belcher

We are a mother daughter wedding photography team with vision -- we see stories of emotion and capture them. We don't want you to just remember that you had a wedding day, portrait or event...we want you to feel the emotions all over again.

Click to find out who we are....here's more about Mindy...or Joriana.

What do we shoot? Love. Wedding Love. Baby Love. Family Love. Love of details. Love of design.

If you are getting married, be sure to watch our Wedding Portfolio to get a feel for what Ever After Visuals is all about. It has been designed just like a wedding day unfolds, from getting-ready shots to the final farewell.  >Many of our brides say their wedding day went by in a blur...our philosophy is:  Time moves so fast...Photography stops it.

Get a feel for our Portrait Style by checking out our Portrait Portfolio

Check out our Baby Love by viewing our BeBe Coterie Portfolio

We are Storytellers, photojournalists, and we will document the love and relationships with your mate, your family, your friends...we'll be looking for the love, the emotion and the detail that makes your story uniquely yours.

Then we preserve it by telling your story when we custom design your album.  Your Storybook Album is the first chapter in the story of the new family you created at your wedding, so it deserves to be as unique as you are.

Each of our Wedding collections includes a DVD and an album, so you are assured that we are producing the highest quality images, not just something to fill up a DVD -- We won't shoot your wedding, put a DVD in your hand and send you on your way.  Instead, you're hiring friends who will see you through your wedding experience from the beginning until we place your custom-designed album in your hands, the album that your kids and grandkids will cherish for years to come.

This is your story, your day, your Once-Upon-A-Time.

Let us capture your moments -- Ever After.

Cake and Pictures Adds an Eighth!

So you’re probably wondering what in the world I’m talking about. Well, I’ll tell you. We got in! We got in! ACCEPTED!! YESSSSS!

Now let me explain the seemingly teenage hysteria. Cake and Pictures is a website — www.Cakeandpictures.com — and we, Ever After Visuals (Mindy and Joriana Belcher), just got accepted to join this highly prestigious site, making us number 8 in the list of Virginia photographers accepted!  Exciting!!!

The explanation is as follows:
“Cake and Pictures is the only website exclusively dedicated to bringing brides and wedding planners a comprehensive selection of just the very best wedding photographers from around the world. We’re highly selective about the photographers we show, and while we list our photographers according to where they live (in 50 cities in the U.S. and several countries around the world), all of our photographers are accustomed to traveling for weddings, and can shoot yours, wherever it might be.”

So, why should you hire us to photograph your wedding?? Because we said so! Lol. Just kidding. But really, Cake and Pictures says we’re good so maybe you should check us out.

Hong Kong is approximately 9,000 miles from the Bristow Manor Golf Club.  That’s a long way, right?  Well, that’s exactly how far Katherine and YuKwan’s family traveled to see them get married!  And I don’t think it could have been a more beautiful day for it!  Bristow Manor provided the perfect backdrop for Katherine and YuKwan as they said their “I Do’s” with it’s old world feel inside and a touch of southern charm with it’s elegant balcony and columns.

The day started off in the Bridal suite of Bristow Manor with Katherine putting her dress on.  And I have to say, it was gorgeous!!  Mindy and I really do love our job so we’re constantly watching wedding related shows such as:  Say Yes To The Dress and My Fair Wedding with David Tuterra (I love that man!).  So, to get to the point — out of all the wedding dresses we’ve seen, we couldn’t have picked a more amazing dress for Katherine — it suited her perfectly!!

YuKwan was one of the most mellow, calm grooms I’ve ever seen.   When we were doing images before the ceremony I asked him to think of Katherine and a smile immediately flickered across his face.  From day one, we’ve never had a doubt that these two are very much in love.   Every time Katherine is around YuKwan she has a smile and is usually laughing.  YuKwan impressed us even more by making sure we had enough water to drink on the wedding day — a great characteristic of a good husband.

One of our favorite parts of the wedding day was the tea ceremony where both the bride and groom kneel in front of their parents and close family and serve them tea. This is a way to express their gratitude. In front of their parents, it is a practice for the married couple to say, “Thank you for bringing us up. Now we are getting married. We owe it all to you.” The parents will usually drink a small portion of the tea and then give them a red envelope, which symbolizes good luck.   I can only imagine how long that flight was to Dulles Airport!  We loved so much that Katherine and YuKwan took time out to express their thanks to their family.

The reception was also held at Bristow Manor where the main room was decorated in simple yet elegant hues of purple and white.  From the ceiling hung twinkle lights and lavender Chinese lanterns.   The center pieces were these gorgeous flowers submerged in liquid dyed purple.  Very eye-catching!!  We think Katherine did an excellent job of picking out all the details for her big day — it all came together so beautifully.

Take a look and see for yourself, what we would consider one of our favorite weddings of the year.

National Arboretum | Nikki & Mike’s After Session | DC Wedding Photographers

Mindy and Joriana are the women behind Ever After Visuals, a mother-daughter wedding photography team with vision — we photograph stories of emotion and capture them. We specialize in modern, emotional, romantic images such as what can be seen from Mike and Nikki’s Wedding at Merriweather Manor!  We also had a great time with Nikki and Mike at Potomac Point Winery for their engagement shoot. Check it out here.

Clients like Nikki and Mike are why we love wedding photography…they are warm, caring, down to earth and just so much fun to be with…just the kind of clients we love to work with.   Truly, we looked forward to photographing them at the National Arboretum because we wanted to find a place that would help tell their special love story…

You see, when we look at Nikki and Mike, we see two people who are not only in love, but have that deep connection that many aspire to, but is only rarely achieved.

That’s why we love the words of the song…it just fits them so well.

By now you’d know that I’d come for you
No one but you, yes I’d come for you
But only if you told me to
And I’d fight for you
I’d lie, it’s true
Give my life for you
You know I’d always come for you

It’s this connection that we feel privileged to share — to record the way they look at each other, to document the smiles, the laughter, the tears, to share in witnessing the start of their family and best of all, to tell their love story, their unique love story that is like no other.

We hope you enjoy the slideshow we did for you!

It was a perfect day. Sun shining. Birds singing. Blue skies. A perfect day for a wedding — Tim and Rebecca’s Wedding! The day started off at Cherrydale Methodist Church where Tim and Rebecca got ready for a day packed full of emotion, filled with the love of friends and family — one of the most momentous  days of their lives.

Rebecca looked absolutely stunning in her strapless ball gown with hidden pick-ups. The dazzling brooch she added to the side only added more elegance and class to the ensemble. Her hair was wound into a classic updo, and topped with a long graceful veil that completed her stylish, couture look. All in all, Rebecca looked beautiful. Tim and his guys also looked very suave from the polished patent leather shoes to the nifty cuff links that each sported.

The wedding event started with trumpets. Tim entered with his guys. All stood. Eyes turned. Rebecca smiled. Tim tried not to cry but really, how could you not with a bride that beautiful? We felt our hearts beat a little faster as we watched Tim look at Rebecca and then overcome with emotion, he had to look away.  Rebecca, trying to preserve her make-up, tried to not  actually look at Tim,  so she looked away to keep from tearing up. Did I mention we love emotional weddings?  How we love to photograph moments like these and you will see them highlighted in the slideshow montage that we custom designed to tell the special story of this day.

After the ceremony, everyone proceeded to Fort Myer’s Officer’s Club which has a very nice ambiance — warm golden hues were cast in the background all night. Our favorite part of the night had to be the dances. The mother-son and the father-daughter dances always tug at my heart but just photographing Rebecca and her father dancing was fun. Especially when the song starts off serious then morphs into a fun, get-up-and-go kind of tune like “I knew the bride when she used to Rock and Roll”.

We also had a great time with Rebecca and Tim in Washington DC for their engagement shoot.  Check it out here.

Tim and Rebecca, thank you for allowing us to be such a big part of your day. We consider it an honor and a privilege. We hope you enjoy your slideshow!!
